The Dad Shoe Gets Dressed Up For Fall

Nike is giving its famously comfort-first Air Monarch 4 — the sneaker known simply as the Dad Shoe — a fall wardrobe change. The new Air Monarch 4 SE arrives in special-edition suede uppers, a departure from the shoe's usual clean leather look. Gum soles round out the update, adding warmth to a silhouette built on ease rather than edge. It remains, first and foremost, a comfort shoe, just now in a fabric with more texture.
