Dior Takes Its Cruise Campaign to the Galleries of LACMA, With Monet on the Wall
Dior has set its new cruise campaign inside the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Jennifer Lawrence, Greta Lee, Taylor Russell and Drew Starkey are the faces, and the campaign shows them in the galleries with the paintings. Claude Monet's "Water Lilies" is one of the canvases they stop to take in. Most campaigns put the clothes in front of a backdrop. This one puts them in front of a masterpiece and lets the cast act like museumgoers instead of models. For an archive that tracks who wore what and where, the location is the story: a Paris house chose a Los Angeles institution as the setting for its cruise season. The four stars came to look at the art, and in these images they become part of what there is to look at.
