DSW Sorts Its Shoe Faithful Into Club, Gold and Elite

DSW has redrawn its VIP loyalty program, and the new map has three stops: Club, Gold and Elite. The chain says the redesign hands members more say over how they use their perks, a shift from the one-tier system shoppers knew before. For anyone building out a closet one pair at a time, the new tiers mean the difference between a starter, a regular and a top-shelf customer now comes with a name. It is the kind of quiet retail housekeeping that rarely makes news, except that shoes, like ballgowns, reward the loyal.
