Feathers, Tweed and a Painter's Palette: Emilia Wickstead's Spring 2027 Turn

For her Spring 2027 collection, Emilia Wickstead built an entire season around the studio uniform of painter Lee Krasner, translating it into feather-trimmed tweeds and dresses cut on the bias. Daisies recur throughout, each one hand-finished with a loose, painterly quality that nods to Krasner's own brushwork rather than a factory print. Rather than a runway show, the collection debuted in a short film narrated by a restaurateur, trading the usual catwalk for something closer to a character study. It's proof that even a working smock, reimagined carefully enough, can carry a whole collection.
