The Fitting Seat Still Wins: America Keeps Buying Its Shoes in Person
New polling from YouGov finds that a majority of Americans still pick up their shoes in a store rather than ordering them online. For a title that keeps track of heels, hems and the moment a look comes together, that makes sense. A shoe is the one part of an outfit you have to walk in before you can judge it, whether the walk is down a Palm Beach boutique aisle or across a Beverly Hills showroom carpet. The pair still gets chosen at the fitting seat, and the order confirmation comes second.
