Front Row at New York Fashion Week Now Comes With a Seating Chart
The best seat in the house has always been the one closest to the runway, and Vogue has just gone through the trouble of finding out who got it this season. Its photographers worked 35 shows over fashion month, starting in New York and carrying on through London, Milan, and Paris, with their lenses turned toward the benches rather than the clothes. The result is a catalog of who was invited to sit at the edge of the runway, from actors and musicians to the newer class of influencers, and a note on exactly where each was placed. For New York, where the month opens, it amounts to a record of which guests a house considers worth a first-row cushion.
