Harlem's Fashion Row Turns 19, and Still Makes Room for the Next Names

Harlem's Fashion Row held its 19th Annual Fashion Show and Style Awards, honoring Erykah Badu and Brandon Blackwood among this year's recipients. Wisdom Kaye was among those who stepped up to accept an award before the evening moved into its runway portion. That segment was handed to three emerging designers, whose collections got a formal showing rather than a footnote. Nineteen years running, the night still treats its awards and its runway as one program, not two.
