J. Press is opening a flagship on Madison Avenue and introducing its first women's collection, the storied menswear house's biggest expansion in memory. The timing is no accident: the moves land exactly one year into Jack Carlson's tenure as the brand's president and creative director. A house built on generations of American tailoring is widening its clientele without leaving its Ivy roots behind, and doing so on one of New York's most storied retail blocks.
