Jeff Koons Trades Canvas for Case, and New York Gets the First Look

American artist Jeff Koons is moving from gallery walls to the wrist, joining a Swiss watchmaker on an artistic collaboration neither has attempted before. The pairing's first designs are set to debut in New York City in mid-September, putting the city first in line to see where his sensibility lands on a dial. It is a debut in the truest sense — the earliest designs from the partnership, shown for the first time anywhere. New York has seen plenty of runway debuts; this one arrives on a wrist instead.
