Levi's has chosen John Vandemore, the chief financial officer of Skechers, to run its finances. He will take over from Harmit Singh, who said in April that he would be retiring. We usually track who wore the jeans and when, so it's fair to also note who now looks after the books behind them. It's a handoff from sneakers to five-pocket denim, two staples of the American wardrobe, and the move is a sign of confidence in a steady hand.

With reporting from WWD.
