A New Name Runs the Room at the Council of Fashion Designers of America
Hildy Kuryk is now the acting chief executive of the CFDA, the body whose name puts American fashion design right in its title. She takes over after Steven Kolb stepped down from the council. For an archive that records who wore what and when, the people running fashion's institutions belong in the record next to the gowns, and this change goes in the book. The title is interim for now, but Kuryk is the name to note.
