The runway is getting a public address this season. The CFDA has teamed with Rockefeller Center and Genesys to broadcast New York Fashion Week shows live from 30 Rockefeller Plaza, putting the industry's front row within view of anyone crossing the plaza. The stream runs Thursday through Sept. 15, covering the bulk of the week's schedule. For a city that treats its runways as semi-private affairs, this one opens the door.
