The American SetA Paris Address, Rebuilt on American Soil
New York artist Tom Sachs has built a replica of Chanel's famous Paris address, and set it down in New York City. One of fashion's most recognizable facades is now reachable by local sidewalk rather than transatlantic flight. It is homage measured in wood and paint: a Paris landmark, remade by an American hand, in an American city.
