Sanuk, the surf-and-trail label most of us know from the pair left by the pool, is turning its attention to shoes with laces. Having already introduced covered-toe styles, the brand now intends to grow its sneaker lineup and open a small number of stores, with 2027 as the horizon. For a house built on what you wear from the car to the sand, that is a meaningful change of silhouette. It means the same name could soon sit on a shelf beside the everyday trainers rather than only in the summer aisle. Fashion readers who track a brand by the year it changed shape will want to mark this one.
