Salomon's freshly named creative director, Heikki Salonen, is staking out unusual territory for the label: staying a technical performance brand, not a fashion one. Alongside chief executive Guillaume Meyzenq, he's steering the French footwear house to draw its famously technical gear closer to the rest of its lineup, even as sales keep climbing.
