Once the runway work is over, the shoe that matters is a sneaker. Through fashion month, the models walking those shows have been wearing sneakers as their everyday shoe, and that's a lead worth following. It works just as well at a Saturday lunch in Palm Beach or on a gallery walk in Aspen as it does between appointments in Manhattan. When the people who wear the most considered shoes for a living choose sneakers for themselves, the rest of us can follow their example.
