Tory Burch and Thom Browne have landed among the 2026 nominees for the Council of Fashion Designers of America's womenswear honor. Ralph Lauren, the label that took the womenswear prize last year, has been shifted into the menswear category for this cycle. It's a reshuffling that puts one of American fashion's most decorated houses in a new lineup entirely, while clearing room for fresh names in the category it leaves behind. The CFDA Awards remain one of the industry's clearest markers of who's setting the pace in American design.
