Quiet Luxury Finds Its Color Again at the Litchfield Inn
The shoot at the Litchfield Inn in Connecticut was an editorial, not a wedding. It was a styled study of what a wedding in the quiet-luxury manner could look like. For several years that phrase has come to mean paler and paler rooms, with oatmeal linen, beige on beige and restraint as the whole point. This shoot kept the restraint and did not accept the beige. The flowers carried the day, and every other choice in the frame stepped back to let them lead. Even without an actual couple, the pictures made a quiet argument: a room can be refined without being colorless.
