The American SetFilm Deal Brought Taylor Sheridan to NBCUniversal, Donna Langley Says
Taylor Sheridan, who created "Yellowstone," has joined NBCUniversal after ten years at Paramount, and the person who recruited him says a film agreement made the difference. Donna Langley, chair of NBCUniversal Entertainment, told Variety the company won him by offering stronger terms for feature films than he had before. Langley said she recognized an opening and acted on it. Readers in Beverly Hills, who live alongside the entertainment business, will recognize what this kind of agreement means: a writer best known for television now has a studio partner offering him a larger role in film.
