UTA Fields Hollywood Calls Over Breakout Boston Globe Article
Talent agency UTA, which represents the Boston Globe, has begun fielding inquiries from Hollywood about adapting one of the paper's articles for film or television. The piece, about a lesbian bar, spread widely online and drove thousands of new subscriptions to the Globe. UTA's role means any adaptation would move through the same representation that handles the newspaper's broader business. The interest shows how far a single newspaper article can travel once it reaches a national audience.
