Floridians Know a Good Beach. This One in Tiburon Belongs to a Single House
In Florida, a house is judged first by how it meets the water, and only then by everything else. Miami wants the show, Palm Beach wants the hedge, and Naples wants the sunset and a reservation at six. A house in Tiburon, California, speaks the language all three understand: it has a stretch of sand of its own on the bay off San Francisco. The property is valued at $17.5 million. Its architect is Andrea Ponsi, who comes from Italy. On any coastline, a beach that belongs to one household is the rarest feature a house can have, and that holds on the West Coast just as it does on ours.
