Goldman Sachs Gives the Watch Box a Wall Street Reading
Goldman Sachs has published its first guide to collecting fine timepieces and jewelry, with the firm's own recommendations for putting a collection together. It matters that a bank of that standing has written down its thinking on pieces most of us keep in a safe or wear on the wrist. In Florida, collecting means something different depending on the exit you take off I-95 or I-75: in Miami the piece should be noticed across the room, in Palm Beach it should be recognized only by people who already know, and in Naples it should look right at the club at lunch. Whichever stretch of coast you call home, the conversation now has a Wall Street reference to go with it.
