Alec Baldwin's Long Island retreat has hit the market this week, giving East Coast buyers another reason to weigh sand between the toes against a mailbox on Ocean Boulevard. Palm Beach has never needed convincing that our stretch of coastline holds its own against the Hamptons, but a celebrity-owned property changing hands up north is always worth a raised eyebrow down here.
