American Fashion's Old Guard Returns to New York, Speaking to Its Youth

Ralph Lauren, Coach, Tory Burch, and Calvin Klein Collection are back on the calendar for New York Fashion Week this season. Each house is working the same line: holding on to the tailoring and polish that built American ready-to-wear while making room for how a younger customer actually dresses now. It is a negotiation this island has always understood — reverence for what came before, worn easily by whoever comes next.
