Brandi Carlile has decided to formalize what her audiences already knew: her take on Alanis Morissette's "Uninvited" is going into the catalog as a proper release. She has been weaving the song into her sets for the better part of a year, but it was a single performance at the Newport Folk Festival that turned into the version people kept describing to friends who weren't there. The requests followed her from city to city until putting it out became the only reasonable next step.
