The American SetThe Gallerist Makes Her Debut, and the Art World Is Watching
Natalie Portman is stepping into the role of an art dealer in a new film called "The Gallerist," now making its way to screens. For a town where gallery openings on Worth Avenue and the Norton's opening nights are their own kind of theater, a film built around the trade of collecting and selling art is the sort of arrival that gets noticed before the lights even go down. It is not every year that the profession itself gets top billing, with a star of Portman's caliber carrying the part.
