On the Island, a Senior Year Conversation Worth Having: Eight Admissions Assumptions, Set Straight
Town & Country held its first gathering on the college question, and the panel it brought together set out to correct eight widely held beliefs about how applications work. Stellene Volandes, who leads the magazine, was joined by Audrey Wisch, founder of both Curious Cardinals and FlightPlan, along with Thomas Caleel of Admittedly and a representative of Avenues School. Families here with a student deciding where to apply will find a useful starting point in that idea alone: some of what gets repeated about admissions deserves a closer look.
