Old New York Is Still There, and Palm Beach Never Really Left It

Town & Country has published a list of twelve New York addresses — landmarks, shops, and dining rooms — where the city still looks and feels the way it did decades ago. For the part of Palm Beach that keeps one foot on Fifth Avenue and Madison the rest of the year, that kind of continuity is not a curiosity; it is simply how the city has always been used. The bridge closes for the season, but Manhattan does not reset itself in the meantime, and apparently twelve of its corners have made a point of it.
