Princess Cake and a Preview: Town & Country Marks 180 Years at New York's Newest Address
Town & Country rang in its 180th birthday this month with a party at Dante Elizabeth Street, the New York restaurant that has not yet thrown open its doors to the public. Guests were given the first look inside, ahead of the wider city catching wind of the address. Dessert arrived as princess cake, the pale green, marzipan-domed classic, sliced and served to the room. For anyone on the island who still keeps a foot in Manhattan once the season winds down, Elizabeth Street is now a name worth knowing before the rest of the city finds it.
