The rotunda's newest occupant is an artist, not an agency — Taryn Simon's exhibition at the Guggenheim takes the machinery of national intelligence as its subject, filtered through her own conceptual lens. She found an unexpected collaborator in Jodie Foster, the Oscar-winning actor, who joined her for a conversation on the work. It is the kind of show New York's art crowd will be discussing at every dinner table this fall, uptown and down.
