Town & Country Turns 180 Inside a Room That Hasn't Officially Opened

Town & Country marked its 180th anniversary this week with a celebration inside Dante Elizabeth Street, getting guests into the hotspot ahead of its wider debut. The room was previewed for the night rather than formally launched, and the evening closed with princess cake on the dessert table. It is the kind of early entry — walking into a place before it has technically opened to everyone else — that Palm Beach readers recognize as its own quiet privilege. A magazine that has covered society for the better part of two centuries spent its birthday in a room still waiting for its own.
