FAA Weighs New Special Flight Rules Area Over Mar-a-Lago
The FAA has proposed designating the airspace around Mar-a-Lago, the president's Palm Beach estate, as a Special Flight Rules Area. SFRAs remain a short list nationwide, reserved for a handful of locations rather than routine use. Any owner or operator flying near Palm Beach would be the one working out whatever new procedures come with the designation.
