In Brooklyn, Plywood Paneling Gives a Generic New Interior a Point of View
In a large Brooklyn home, a couple has had plywood wainscoting run along walls that came with nothing to say for themselves, and the rooms now read as their own. They hired Somerset House for the work. Plywood rarely gets a starring role in a New York interior, which is why its use here stands out. Paneling on the lower part of a wall adds texture, grain and a sense of craft to a room that would otherwise be plain drywall, and it does so with a modest material.
