A California Beach House Built on Restraint, Not Color

Designer Christine Vroom's newest project sits on the California coast, and its argument is made almost entirely through texture rather than color. Walls, surfaces, and furnishings hold to a tightly disciplined tonal range, letting material and touch do the work that color usually does in a room. It reads as confidence rather than caution: nothing raises its voice, and nothing needs to.
