From a Cherry Brooch at The Met, a Designer's Second Collection for Lulu and Georgia
Eny Lee Parker's new collection for Lulu and Georgia began with a small object in a New York museum: a brooch shaped like a cherry, in the collection of The Met. This is her second collaboration with the retailer. She told Architectural Digest that she was after a balance between the polished and the slightly peculiar. A brooch is a fitting place to find that balance, because it is jewelry made to be looked at closely, small enough to hold in one hand and still carefully made. A cherry is an odd and cheerful thing to render that carefully, and that pull between seriousness and whimsy is the point of the new line. The idea started in a gallery case in New York and has become a collection for the home.
