What It Sold For

Colin King Lands in Chelsea, and the Walls Are Full

· 1 min read

Colin King has a new address in Manhattan, and it sits high up in Chelsea. The move takes him out of a spare, pared-down loft and into rooms hung with art and furnished with pieces gathered over time rather than chosen all at once. What a visitor would notice first is the density of it: objects set beside objects, each one evidently picked on purpose, in a home that reads as accumulated rather than installed. For someone whose eye has long been followed, the shift from restraint toward abundance is the story, and Chelsea is where it is now on view. No price has been placed on the record.
