Ground Breaks on Fifth Avenue for The Met's Next Wing

Construction has formally begun on a new art wing at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, marking the start of the institution's next expansion on Fifth Avenue. The museum's exterior renderings show the addition taking shape alongside the existing Beaux-Arts building. No completion date has been announced. For a museum that has grown by additions for more than a century, this is another one entering the ground.
