Kips Bay Comes to New York, and the Details Get Louder
Every fall, the Kips Bay Show House gives New York's design world a single address to walk through and argue over, and this year's edition leans into texture and mood. Ceilings are being pleated rather than left flat, palettes are drifting toward smoke and shadow instead of the usual bright neutrals, and even the trim work is getting bolder, with tassels stretched out well past their traditional length. It is the kind of house that rewards a slow walk from room to room.
