In Manhattan, 345 Square Feet Gets Away With Everything

A ballet dancer's Manhattan studio is doing more with its footprint than most apartments twice its size. At just 345 square feet, the space still makes room to stretch and move, the kind of allowance that in New York usually costs a lot more floor. The design comes from Josh Greene, a member of the AD100, who built the plan around storage that disappears into the walls rather than crowding the room. Nothing here reads as a compromise for the size — the style holds its own, storage and all. In a market where every square foot is accounted for, that is its own kind of achievement.
