Manhattan Office Rents Surge as Workers Head Back

The numbers coming out of Manhattan's commercial market tell a straightforward story: rents are doubling, in some cases tripling, as companies fill space they had left empty. The shift marks a reversal for landlords who spent recent years managing vacancies rather than competing for tenants. It is a return-to-office trend translating directly into commercial real estate value, the kind of market recovery that shows up first in lease terms before it shows up anywhere else.
