MoMA Argues the Building Itself Can Be an Act of Freedom

The Museum of Modern Art has opened an exhibition examining architecture built across Africa in the years following independence. Its case is that these structures were not incidental to nationhood, but central to it — a means by which newly free countries built independence into form.
