Studio DRIFT has rebuilt the World Trade Center towers at their true height, the structures formed entirely from 2,977 points of light — a count that corresponds to the lives lost on September 11, 2001. The piece favors scale over material, tracing the towers' original proportions in light rather than steel or glass. It brings back, if only for the length of the installation, the exact silhouette New York's skyline lost.
