The Smallest Decision in a Well-Furnished Room

Architectural Digest has published its 2026 guide to throw pillows. Its premise is simple: a major purchase for the house isn't finished until it's properly dressed. Anyone who has walked through a well-kept house in Palm Beach or the Hamptons will know the idea. The big decisions set the room, and the small ones show that someone cared how it would feel to sit there. It's the same patience that goes into buying a house: a serious piece is bought to last, and the cushion beside it is what makes it look chosen with care.
