Sunfish Makes a Case for Straw in the New York Interior
In the East Village, the studio Sunfish has made straw the foundation of a full line of furnishings and objects for the home. It didn't stop at one statement piece. Straw carries the whole range, from the pieces a room is built around to the smaller things that finish it. It's a humble fiber more often seen in the field than in a Manhattan living room, and Sunfish is treating it as a serious material for the American house.
