Two American Airports Just Made a Very Short, Very Global List

· 1 min read

Architectural Digest has named the world's most beautiful airport terminals, and American design held its own: two of the seven honorees are on U.S. soil, standing alongside the finest work abroad. The recognition rests on architecture, not scale or traffic numbers — the kind of terminal where the building itself is part of the reason to travel. For the American entries, it is a rare instance of an airport being discussed the way a museum or a great house would be, admired for its design rather than merely passed through.

With reporting from Architectural Digest.
