The Yellowstone Ranch Is Fiction, but Taylor Sheridan Owns the Land Beneath It

· 1 min read

Search a map for the ranch at the heart of Yellowstone and you won't find it, because that ranch exists only on screen. The land the cameras actually filmed on is real, and it has an owner: Taylor Sheridan holds the property. So the house, the pastures and the long views that audiences have come to know as a fictional home are, off camera, his own ground.

With reporting from Elle Decor.
