Time magazine has released its first Art 100 list, an inaugural ranking that splits its honorees evenly down the middle: fifty artists on one side, and on the other, the dealers, curators and collectors who bring that work to market and into public view. The pairing makes a point our readers already understand well — that a painting's fortune is written by more than the hand that made it.
