New York's High Line Gets a New Landmark, and the Party Followed to The Standard

An installation titled auruBOROS—Urban Memory and Collective Dream made its debut along the High Line this week, drawing collectors and design followers to see it unveiled in person. Once the work was revealed, the evening moved to Boom, the lounge atop The Standard, High Line, for a celebration among those who'd come out for the occasion. The setting paired one of downtown Manhattan's most watched pieces of elevated parkland with one of its most recognizable hotel rooftops. It was the kind of night the High Line has become known for hosting: art first, then a party built around it.
