A Sculptural Installation Rises Above Little West 12th Street
The Berlin-based artist duo Plastique Fantastique has installed a sculptural work on New York's High Line, suspended above Little West 12th Street in the Meatpacking District. The piece arrives timed to the release of a new high-jewelry collection, giving the elevated park a temporary landmark visible to the walkers and tourists who pass beneath it. For a stretch of the city built on reinvention, it's a reminder that the High Line keeps finding new life as a stage for work that wouldn't otherwise meet a Manhattan audience at street level.
