Bidders Put Chevrolet's Corvette ZR1X Near Twice Its Sticker

· 1 min read

A Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X offered for sale by auction is drawing a price close to twice what Chevrolet charges for the model at its base figure. For a Corvette, that is a notable place for the bidding to land, and it shows what collectors think of the car. By the measure of its rivals, the ZR1X is a hypercar, yet it costs only a small share of what buyers pay for comparable machines from the European makers. Owners from Naples to Aspen who follow the Corvette will see the result as a vote of confidence in an American car competing at the top of the field.
